Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Julián Scannone studies Economics in Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. He began his journey through Models of United Nations when he was 14 years old and he was part of the Logistics Team of the Model of his highschool. When he saw his friends debating interesting and important topics, he wanted to be part of the discussions as well, so in 2015 he delegated for the first time. Since then, he has participated in several MUNs, including HMUN, Harvard Model United Nations, which have allowed him to learn and grow a lot.
Himadri Ratnayake is a young individual from California who aspires to make a difference in the world someday. She has gained insight on real-life issues, mainly because of MUN in which she has been a part of for two consecutive years. Himadri has been a part of local, national, and international conferences, represented different countries across the globe, and has worked with students from almost every nation. She hopes to utilize her delegate and chair experience to serve as an inspiration for students in the upcoming URJCMUN conference. She dreams of working for the UN in the near future. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
